Our client is a key provider of plant and equipment, in the Underground Mining sector and have a strong established national business. They are currently gearing up to deliver expanded services in the Hunter.
To meet this growing demand, we are seeking an experienced mechanical Certificate/Diploma trades based engineer, to undertake this key role in delivering well maintained equipment to existing customers. You will need to develop strong trust based relationships with the customers, the OEMS and within the in-house team in their maintenance department.
This position is responsible for performing the day to day liaison between our client, the workshop and the customer in relation to all maintenance issues. The challenge is to deliver reliable, safe equipment to the customer in a timely fashion and to manage ensure that it all compliance issues are addressed, communicated and documented thoroughly. The role isnt about delivering Ferrari's to show standards, its about delivering equipment to the customer that is reliable, that works, is safe, and ensuring that it is maintained and keeps working within the contract period.
The emphasis is on the practical and the common sense to ensure that critical equipment is available when needed. Documenting all aspects of compliance and risk will be essential and a considerable base of experience in underground mining with solid computer skills is required. This includes managing warranty claims, cost issues and any non-performance or contract issues. A certificate 4 in management will be highly regarded.
